The legal determination of a boundary is signed by a sworn land surveyor of Surmapping N.V.
2. General information, not advice
The information on this website, in the Knowledge Base, the step-by-step guides, the news items and the brochures has been compiled with care and is general in nature. It is not legal, tax, financial or surveying advice for your specific situation. For an assessment of your situation, book an advisory consultation or request a quote.
Rules, time frames, fees and procedures of authorities such as MI-GLIS, the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Land Policy and Forest Management may change. Decisions on permits, orders and registrations are made by the competent authorities, not by SC-REAS N.V.
3. Maps, Parcel Map and tools
The Parcel Map, the map tool and other tools on this website show data from public sources, such as the MI-GLIS register, and aerial photographs. They are indicative. Boundaries, areas and coordinates on screen are not a survey. Only a sworn land surveyor can determine the exact location of a parcel. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or currency of third-party data. Screenshots, printouts and exports of the Parcel Map or other tools are not evidence of the location of a boundary and may not be used as such.
4. Liability
SC-REAS N.V. is not liable for damage arising from acting or failing to act on the basis of general information on this website, or from the website being temporarily unavailable or containing errors.
This limitation does not apply if the damage results from intent or gross negligence on the part of SC-REAS N.V. If SC-REAS N.V. is liable on any other ground, its liability is limited to the amount invoiced for the assignment concerned. Statutory rights that cannot be limited by agreement or statement remain fully in force.
5. Prices
Prices on this website are starting prices and are subject to change, typing errors and the circumstances of your file. Only the written quote or engagement confirmation is binding. Government fees, stamp duties, notary costs and other third-party costs are added, unless stated otherwise.
6. Assignments
This disclaimer concerns the use of the website. For an assignment to SC-REAS N.V., the terms in the quote or engagement confirmation apply. In case of conflict, those terms prevail.
7. Documents for the client only
Maps, drawings, reports, valuations, petitions and advice that we produce are intended solely for the client and for the purpose agreed in the assignment. Others cannot derive any rights from them. Anyone who uses, alters or passes on a document of ours for another purpose without our written permission does so at their own expense and risk.
8. Texts, maps and images
All texts, brochures, guides, maps, drawings, photographs, the logo and the house style on this website are the property of SC-REAS N.V. or are used with permission. You may view, download and print them for your own use. Copying, distributing or using them commercially is only permitted with our written consent. Legal texts in the Knowledge Base are taken from public sources; the official publication in the Government Gazette (Staatsblad) prevails.
9. Links to other websites
Where we refer to websites of governments or other organisations, we have no control over their content and are not responsible for it.
10. Misuse of our name and content
It is not permitted to use the name SC-REAS, the logo, the house style, the name of our land surveyor or our documents in a way that suggests that something comes from or is on behalf of SC-REAS N.V. when it does not. This also applies to fake accounts, forged documents and altering our maps or reports. It is also not permitted to read out or copy the website or the Parcel Map by automated means.
In case of misuse, we reserve all rights, including filing a police report and claiming damages.
11. Official channels and payments
We communicate only through this website, info@sc-reas.com, phone and WhatsApp +597 874 8466, office +597 411 307 and our official social media pages. We never ask for payment via an unknown phone number, a private account or an intermediary. You receive a receipt from SC-REAS N.V. for every payment. If you are unsure whether a message comes from us, call our office.
12. Messages and agreements
Information we give orally, by phone, via WhatsApp or on social media is general and non-binding. An agreement, price or deadline is only binding once we have confirmed it in writing in a quote, engagement confirmation or e-mail from info@sc-reas.com.
13. Statements by third parties
SC-REAS N.V. is not responsible for what others write or say about us on the internet, on social media or elsewhere. We respond only through our official channels.
14. Privacy and cookies
How we handle personal data and cookies is explained in our privacy policy and cookie policy. We only use statistics if you consent to them.
15. Governing law
This disclaimer and the use of this website are governed by the law of Suriname, including the Civil Code as in force since 1 May 2025. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Paramaribo.
16. Translations
This disclaimer may be offered in other languages. In case of any difference between a translation and the Dutch text, the Dutch text prevails.
